DIARY OF A NEWBIE

I finally quit using my computer as a video game. I've had it about two years, it was probably two or three months before I even turned it on! Right now, I'm teaching myself how to type again. I'm also learning how to use notepad, I've seen it on the menu, but, I never knew what it was. I connected to the internet a couple of months ago. I started surfing around and, believe me, I got on some awful sights! My computer got infected, luckily, a buddy of mine knew how to fix it and he gave me a few pointers too. Well, that's enough of that, let me tell you how I got here. I'm a quarry worker, bluestone to be exact, have been for about twenty-five years. Anyways, this year was rough, I made some bad decisions and, basically, lost my ass! Winters are always tough, that's just the nature of the business. At any rate, I ended up broke with no place to live. I rented, so it's not like I lost a mansion and millions of dollars. My sister offered to help out, she had just gotten a huge house. So, we moved in with her. Tammy, my girlfriend, gets a small disability check every month and I manage to scrounge up a couple days a week. So we manage to keep afloat. My sister suggested I try something on the internet and that's why I'm here. First, I tried My Data Team, actually, my sister set it up. That's where I was introduced to adsense, adwords, blogging, paypal, clickbank I even ended up with an ebay account somehow. That was about a month ago. I still don't understand everything, but I'm working on it. So far I've gone no place with this. A few days ago I saw an ad for SFI. It's an affiliate program, something else I'm new to, it intrigued me, so I'm trying it. We were riding with Tammy's dad this morning, my car is broke down too, when I got the idea for this blog. I figure it will be a record of what I'm doing right or wrong, and, maybe it will help someone else. If I make it work, they will know what to try, if I fail, they will sure as hell know not to follow my steps! I'm not looking for anyone's sympathy. However, I'm obviously hoping to make some money from this blog. As you can see, I'm not much of a writer. Hell, I barely even talk to people. So, I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. Feel free to criticize or offer any tips you might have. I'll keep everyone posted as to what's working or not working for me. I hope you enjoy reading about my triumphs and pitfalls.
